2. Attach the wrist portion of a static strap to your wrist. Attach the

other end of the strap to the metal plate on the back of the printer.

CAUTION: Use a grounding strap to prevent static discharge

from damaging the printer.

3. Using a Phillips-head screwdriver, remove the ﬁve screws on the

plate at the lower portion of the back of the printer.

NOTE: There are ten screws on the back of the printer. Remove

ONLY the ﬁve on the lower portion.
